Legend has it that during a pirate raid, a beautiful princess tried to cross the sea to reach her lover. She filled her skirts with sand, pouring it into the water to create a path. She ran out of sand just before reaching the other side and drowned. To this day, you can see a 600-meter shallow sandy path stretching into the middle of the bay near our safari route—a literal walk on water that remains a geological wonder.
