Full Tour Description

Your day begins with a scenic drive southwest of Chiang Mai, passing through vibrant local farms and emerald-green rice paddies. As the landscape shifts into dense jungle, you’ll arrive at the stunning Mae Wang Waterfalls—the perfect spot to relax and take a dip before your adventure truly begins.

Deep within the forest, you will find Pon Elephant Thailand, a sanctuary dedicated to the welfare of rescued elephants. Upon arrival, your expert guide will share the moving stories of these creatures and provide a briefing on Asian elephant conservation.

Be a Caretaker for a Day Experience the joy of meeting the elephants face-to-face. You’ll have the chance to feed them bananas and bond with them before embarking on a forest walk. Unlike traditional tours, here you are a guest in their home. Watch as they forage for food, interact with their family groups, and express their natural behaviors in a protected environment.

After exploring the hills, head down to the river for a truly magical bathing experience. Help the elephants cool off in the water—a vital part of their daily routine and a highlight for any visitor.

The day concludes with a tranquil bamboo rafting trip down the Mae Wang River, allowing you to soak in the final sights of the canyon before we return you safely to your accommodation in downtown Chiang Mai.
