Itinerary

Day 1
Arrival Denzili Airport - Isparta

Welcome to Turkey! Cardak, airport pick-up, and transfer to Isparta. Arrive at your hotel for check-in and enjoy your afternoon and evening at your hotel.

Day 2
Kuyucuk and Sagalasos,

After breakfast, we will reach the Kuyucak Village of Keçiborlu district, famous for Lavender Production in our Isparta province, where Lavender Fields are located, via Adapazarı-Pamukova-Kutahya-Afyon – Burdur-Isparta in the morning.
Kuyucak Village adobe houses impress us with lavender clusters on the sidewalks. The people of Kuyucak village generally make a living from lavender production. Apart from lavender, another source of income is they collect, dry, and sell herbs and flowers that grow naturally in the region, such as marshmallows, chamomile, and thyme.
When we see the purple fields while walking on the roads of Kuyucak village, we close our eyes and feel that the beautiful smell that surrounds us cleans every cell of us. As we continue on our way, it is impossible not to be shocked by seeing the lavender fields stretching up to the hills on the right and left along the way. We get over this shock and dive right into the Lavender Field, and we start our lavender collecting activity by first watching the workers in the lavender field, learning the details of the work from them, and then accompanying them.

In the meantime, of course, we do not neglect to photograph Lavender Fields and those who harvest lavender in order to make these beautiful moments permanent and then share them with our friends. After collecting lavender, lavender photography, and shopping for lavender products, we then go to the center of Isparta and for lunch, we have a local menu consisting of Isparta Kuyu Kebab, Klabunde pilaf, and compote.
After lunch, we will visit lavender oil processing plants and as well some shopping for soap and lavender oils.
After our historical journey, we go to our hotel. Dinner and accommodation in our hotel.

Day 3
Isparta-Egirdir-Written Canyon-Kovada Lake

After breakfast, we will take the road and drive towards our first stop. Our first stop is Akpınar Hill, where we can see Lake Eğirdir from a bird’s eye view. After the tea break, we drive to the Green Island on Lake Eğirdir. During our walk around Green Island, we will see the Old Eğirdir Houses, the Ayastafenos Church, the first seminary, and the Muslihiddin Dede Tomb. Afterward, we visit the Dundar Bey Madrasa, Hızırbey Mosque, Kemerli Minaret, and Kale region, and complete our walk on the island. Afterward, we pass the Kovada Lake National Park, which is the continuation of Lake Eğirdir to the south and became a separate lake as a result of the narrow area in between being filled with alluvium. After completing our walk around the lake, we get on our vehicle and pass to Sütçüler Yazılı Canyon National Park. There are temple and rock inscriptions in the canyon, where the historical “King’s Road” also passes. Değirmendere Stream, which flows continuously, has formed many large and small pockets -boilers- in the canyon. In the karstic spaces formed on the side walls of the canyon -in the dens- there are parts of worship and inscriptions. Because of these inscriptions, the canyon is called “The Written Canyon”. Located on a big rock in the canyon, one of the ancient Greek poets Epictetus’ “A Poem About the Free Man”, Prof. Dr. Solved by Sencer Şahin. St. Paul passed through this canyon on his way from Perge to Pisidia Antiocheia. We take our lunch at our facility in the canyon. After the meal, the tea flowing below accompanies you as you proceed along the paths along with the alder trees, hairy oaks, crazy olives, laurels, and myrtles. Its surroundings are like an oasis for bird watchers. The depth of Yazılı Canyon varies between 100 and 400 meters. In Yazılı Canyon, we take a walk on the path that is not difficult, following the Old King’s road. We go back to our hotel for dinner and accommodation.

Day 4
Salda Lake - Airport

After breakfast, we go to Salda Lake. The geological and biological story of Salda Lake, which is called Turkey’s Maldives with the color of its water and beach, is even more colorful. After enjoying Salda Lake, we will go to Burdur. We are visiting the Burdur Archeology Museum, where artifacts brought from the ancient settlements of Burdur and its surroundings and Sagalassos, Hacilar, Kibera, and Kremna are exhibited. This museum is among the first 10-15 museums in Turkey with its number of antiquities of up to 60 thousand. After completing our Burdur tour, we are going back to Cardack Airport where our tour ends.
